The Senioe Brand Manager will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive consumer engagement, retail growth, product innovation, and long-term brand equity. They will serve as the cross-functional leader for their brands, partnering closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Licensing, and Operations teams to bring compelling products and experiences to market.
The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, marketer, entrepreneur, and business leader with a passion for consumer products, storytelling, and creating brands that resonate with kids, families, and collectors.
Responsibilities:
Brand Leadership & Strategy:
- Own the long-term vision, positioning, and growth strategy for NeeDoh®, Lava®, Big Wheel®, and other Schylling brands.
- Develop brand and line plans, growth initiatives, and innovation roadmaps.
- Champion brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints including packaging, retail, digital, social media, PR, licensing, and events.
- Identify opportunities to expand brand reach through new product categories, partnerships, collaborations, and licensing programs.
Business & Portfolio Management:
- Manage brand performance against revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
- Analyze sales data, retail trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to drive business decisions.
- Lead assortment planning and product portfolio optimization.
- Develop business cases for new product concepts and brand extensions.
Marketing & Consumer Engagement:
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and seasonal initiatives.
- Support influencer, PR, social media, digital, and retail marketing efforts.
- Develop compelling brand narratives and consumer-facing messaging.
Product Innovation:
- Partner with Product Development teams from concept through commercialization.
- Translate consumer and retailer insights into innovative products and experiences.
- Lead product line reviews and evaluate opportunities for expansion into new channels and categories.
- Ensure innovation aligns with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
Partnerships and Licensing:
- Support current licensing programs and identify new licensing opportunities.
- Evaluate potential partnerships, collaborations, and promotional programs to strengthen brand awareness and consumer engagement.
- Partner with licensors and licensing agents to ensure brand consistency and maximize growth opportunities.
- Participate in customer presentations, in addition to major retailer line reviews.
- Identify opportunities for strengthening brand presence across specialty, mass, ecommerce, and international channels.
- Work closely with Sales department to support key retail accounts and strategic growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or another related field.
- 5+ years of experience in brand management, product marketing, consumer products, or related field.
- Experience working in toys, games, collectibles, licensing, entertainment, or consumer products.
- Proven experience managing brands and launching successful products.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $160,000. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
