About the Job
Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children, and children-at-heart, for over 40 years. Our warehouse operations in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for experienced Warehouse Associate, 2st Shift as our operations continue to grow. The most suitable individual will be able to complete the following:
Responsibilities:
- Keep safety a priority
- Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory
- Pulls, packs and ship products based on daily orders
- Has the ability to use scanners to read bar codes on products and/or pull customer orders with paper pick tickets
- Work in high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining order accuracy
- Monitors product quality and reports any problems to eliminate safety issues
- Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and troubleshoot problems
- Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds
- Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area
- And any other duties needed to help fulfill our mission.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
- 1 + year of work experience in a related field
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear up to 60 pounds
- Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
- Must be able to report to work as assigned
- Work on a team that supports each other to reach our customer/company goals
- can stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb stairs, and reach frequently during shifts
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- US work authorization required
- High school diploma/GED required
- Consent to a background check
